SERENGETI GREAT WILDEBEEST

DAY 1: ARUSHA – SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

Rise and shine early in the morning, after hot breakfast at Arusha planet lodge you will depart with your picnic lunch boxes to Serengeti the central grass plain (Seronera region). You will experience the drive of barely 5 hours to cover 335kms from Arusha to Seronera Serengeti. Upon the road you will be luck to see different landscapes, especially the Great Rift Valley across Manyara national park, also the crater view, when you pass through Ngorongoro conservation area. Reach Seronera in the afternoon; proceeding with game drive at the central grass plains, where some of the hooves start their migration to Kogatende (the northern region) here, also you will sport other wildlife as well as some of big cats here. In the evening driver will take you to Katikati Tented camp for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 2: SERONERA – NORTH SERENGETI

Proceeding with Safari schedule, today is amazing day, you will sport large herd that accommodated at the Northern region of Serengeti from Western corridor (Grumeti). After an early breakfast at Katikati tented camp, driver guide will take you from Seronera to Kogatende, where you will cover about 80kms in approximation of 3 hours on rough road within Serengeti national park. This area sustains a very good permanent game population, including plenty of zebra and wildebeest, all the predators and forest ‘specialists’ like colobus monkeys. The birdlife is particularly varied. The migration passes through between about early end of August, September to mid-October, pausing to gather momentum before crossing the crocodile rich waters of the Mara River. In the evening driver guide will take you to Kubukubu tented camp at Kogatende for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 3: FULL DAY GAME DRIVE

Wake up early in the morning; proceed with migration and big cats game drive at Kogatende region. . This area sustains a very good permanent game population, including plenty of zebra and wildebeest, all the predators and forest ‘specialists’ like colobus monkeys. You guide will take you near Mara River and witness the large number of hooves try to cross Mara River, where they face diffulties against Nile crocodiles as well as Lions who chase them before crossing the river. In the evening you will drive back to Seronera for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 4: SERONERA - ARUSHA

Rise and shine in the mid of the bush, after enjoying a hot breakfast at Katikati camp, early in the morning you will enjoy a short game drive of barely 4 hours at Seronera central grass plains, before depart to Arusha. Predators use to chase grazers looking for food. You will be luck to witness whether isolated leopard drag its prey up the acacia tree, or the fastest creature on land, cheetah chasing Thompson’s gazelle in the morning as it is the time when they are active looking for food. You will reach at Arusha in the evening, so you will stay at Arusha planet lodge before depart to Zanzibar or flight back home.
