DAY 1: ARRIVE IN JOHANNESBURG AND CONTINUE TO VICTORIA FALLS

On arrival at O.R Tambo International Airport, please clear customs and immigration formalities and collect your luggage.

Proceed into the Arrivals Terminal where your representative will meet you to hand over your documents and assist you with check in for your onward flight.

Depart Johannesburg on a scheduled flight to Victoria Falls.

On arrival at Victoria Falls International Airport your representative will meet and transfer you to the hotel. The transfer time is approximately 25 minutes.

The Victoria Falls Hotel combines the charm of the old with the comfort and convenience of today. lt has 18 suites, 90 standard rooms and 79 deluxe rooms, and is one hotel that can truly claim to be unique. The elegant lounges offer serenity and seclusion. The corridors reflect all the past glories of the Empire. The suites and rooms are superbly furnished in Edwardian style, and are all air-conditioned with every modern amenity.

Enjoy dinner and dancing in the magnificent Livingstone Room with a classic à la carte menu. Traditional high tea is served every afternoon on the Terrace, with spectacular views onto the Victoria Falls Bridge and the Victoria Falls themselves. There is also the Jungle Junction Restaurant for informal sumptuous buffets under the stars.

Recreational facilities include an elegant Edwardian style outdoor swimming pool and two all-weather floodlit tennis courts. The hotel has its own private path to the Victoria Falls, which is less than 10 minutes' walk away.

A full range of other sports is available nearby, including an 18 hole championship golf course, white water rafting, bungy jumping, canoeing, microlighting, game walks and drives, elephant back safaris, helicopter flights over the Victoria Falls and cruises along the Zambezi River.

Please meet the your representative in the reception area of the hotel and transfer to the entrance of the Falls, which is a 5-minute drive from most hotels. We supply raincoats during high water months when clients are likely to get wet from the spray of the Falls.

The walk is approximately 1½ hours in duration (3km), through the rainforest, stopping at the various viewing points. There are however, 3 exit paths along the way in case you get tired.

We advise clients to wear appropriate clothing and shoes for the walk, as well as bringing along a suitable waterproof protection for camera equipment.

You are likely to see abundant bird life in the rainforest, as well as bushbuck, monkeys, baboons and families of mongoose.

Return to the hotel for an evening spent at leisure.

DAY 2: VICTORIA FALLS TO BOTSWANA

This morning your representative will meet you in the reception area of the hotel and transfer you to the nearby helipad. Depart on a 13-minute helicopter “Flight of Angels” over the Victoria Falls. Return to the hotel.

Meet your representative in the reception area of the hotel for your transfer to the Kasane Airport. The transfer time is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. The transfer time will be advised to you locally by your guide.

Depart Kasane on a Mack Air shared light aircraft charter flight to Jao Camp. The flying time to Jao is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Kindly note, however, that all inter-camp flights are subject to multiple pick ups and drop offs en route to your destination which could affect the flying time.

On arrival at Jao airstrip a camp representative will meet and transfer you to Jao Camp. The transfer time is approximately 10 minutes.

Jao Camp is situated in a private reserve on a remote large island, to the west of the Moremi Game Reserve in the heart of the Okavango Delta. Across the waterway in front of the camp, guests have access to open floodplains and savannah for a wonderful Okavango experience.

Guests are accommodated in nine large and spacious rooms. Each of the unique and beautiful twin-bedded canvas and thatched rooms has been individually handcrafted. The rooms are built under a canopy of shady trees, with en-suite bathroom, hot and cold running water, a large bath and double vanity. There is an additional outside shower under the stars for those more adventurous guests who want to shower closer to nature. There is an outdoor "sala" for guests to enjoy midday siestas with a view and a breeze. The rooms are raised off the ground and offer wonderful views of the surrounding floodplains.

A raised walkway connects the rooms to the dining room and lounge area. There is a plunge pool and an outdoor 'boma' for dining under the stars, as well as an excellent wine cellar. Jao also offers a Salon with a full-time therapist, offering a wide range of massage treatments. The activities at Jao include mokoro (dug-out canoe) excursions, boats, fishing, day and night game drives and guided walks. During an unusually high flood season, game drives begin by boating out to a nearby island - Hunda Island - where the vehicles are waiting, and the drive begins from there.

DAY 5: MOREMI GAME RESERVE TO CHIEF'S ISLAND

The morning is at leisure to enjoy the game viewing activity on offer. After breakfast a camp representative will transfer you to the airstrip. The transfer time will be advised to you locally by the camp management.

Depart Jao Camp on a Mack Air shared light aircraft charter flight to Sanctuary Chief's Camp. The flying time to Sanctuary Chief's Camp is approximately 10 minutes.

Sanctuary Chief's Camp is a luxury bush lodge situated on Chief's Island in the exclusive Mombo Concession of the Moremi Game Reserve. This region is known as the "predator capital" of Africa and is considered to have the finest game viewing in Southern Africa including the Big Five.

Guest accommodation comprises of 12 secluded, permanent luxury bush pavilions. Each unit features a thatched roof, spacious seating area, en-suite facilities with indoor and outdoor shower as well as a private game viewing deck with deck chairs. Each unit boasts a generous mosquito net on a four-poster bed, two wardrobes, a book shelf, writing desk and mini bar. The main lodge complex houses the dining area, bar, curio shop, library and reception area. This structure has been built into the existing landscape, under a heavy canopy of mature Jackal berry, Sausage and Rain trees.

The main deck area is split-level and offers expansive views over the floodplain while the lower level of the deck houses an exquisite swimming pool. A range of spa treatments are offered in the treatment room.

Activities include game drives & seasonal mokoro excursions, subject to water levels.

Depart Sanctuary Chief's Camp on a Mack Air shared light aircraft charter flight to Zarafa Camp. The flying time to Zarafa Camp is approximately 40 minutes.

On arrival at the airstrip a camp representative will meet and transfer you to the camp. The transfer time is approximately 30 minutes.

Zarafa Camp is blessed with an extraordinary location. The camp, positioned under the shady canopy of jackalberry and red ivory trees, overlooks the patchwork of savannas and floodplains of Zibadianja Lagoon's southern shores. These uninterrupted views are breathtaking and provide regular sightings of the Reserve's prolific wildlife. Zarafa Camp is breathtaking. It is the pinnacle of years of perfecting the safari experience. It embodies authenticity, luxury and simplicity into a recipe of utter perfection.

DAY 11: ZAFARA TO SOUTH AFRICA

Depart Zarafa on a Mack Air shared light aircraft charter flight to Maun Airport. The flying time to Maun Airport is approximately 50 minutes.

Kindly note, however, that all inter-camp flights are subject to multiple pick ups and drop offs en route to your destination which could affect the flying time.

Depart Maun on a scheduled flight to Johannesburg.

On arrival at OR Tambo International Airport your representative will meet and assist you with check in of your outbound flight.
