ITENERARY

DAY 1: AIRPORT – ARUSHA HOTEL

Arrive at the JRO airport, met and welcomed by Timeless Travel representative and transferred to Arusha Planet Lodge for dinner and overnight. You will be briefed on the safari itinerary as well history of the region.

DAY 2: ARUSHA - TARANGIRE

Breakfast then depart for an Elephant game drive at Tarangire national park. The park gate located about 120kms from Arusha barely 2 hours to reach. Tarangire is superb in season but questionable the rest of the year. Elephants are the main attraction, with up to 3,000 in the park during the peak months. Peak season also sees good numbers of wildebeest and zebra as well as giraffe, buffalo, Thompson’s gazelle, greater and lesser kudu, eland, leopard and cheetah. The real prizes in the park are dwarf mongoose, oryx and generuk – but viewings are very rare. Tarangire is one of Tanzania’s finest birding destinations.

DAY 3: TARANGIRE – LAKE MANYARA

Morning breakfast then depart to Lake Manyara national park for an astonishing memorable game drive. Lake Manyara is a lovely scenic park on the road from Arusha to the Ngorongoro Crater, famous for its tree climbing lions, good elephants and baboons. The lake itself takes up much of the park, leaving a strip of land running along its shores where game concentrates. The park is also famous for its elephant and huge number of baboons, and its varied landscape supports an impressive range of other game including wildebeest, buffalo, hippo, flamingo, zebra, warthog, waterbuck, dik-dik and impala. In the evening drive to Twiga camping site for dinner and overnight.

DAY 4: LAKE MANYARA – SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast set-off to the famous Serengeti national park, the world heritage site. The the park provides panoramic view that suit photographing. The spectacle of predator versus prey dominates Tanzania’s greatest park. Golden-maned lion prides feast on the abundance of plain grazers. Solitary leopards haunt the acacia trees lining the Seronera River, while a high density of cheetahs prowls the southeastern plains. Almost uniquely, all three African jackal species occur here, alongside the spotted hyena and a host of more elusive small predators, ranging from the insectivorous aardwolf to the beautiful serval cat. In the evening drive to Seronera camping site for overnight stay.

DAY 5: FULL DAY GAME DRIVE AT SORONERA

Breakfast then depart for a full day game drive, exploring the parks vast wilderness and ecosystem, with predators dominating the habitat as they search for prey to hunt, leopard can as well be spotted on top of a tree, cheetah, hyena, jackals, gazelles among others, later return back for dinner and overnight.

DAY 6 & 7: SERONERA – NDUTU (South Serengeti)

Depart for early morning game drive at the southern plains of Serengeti near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, plenty game drive before depart to Naabi camping site for dinner and overnight.

DAY 8: FULL DAY AT NGORONGORO CRATER

Breakfast in the morning followed by a game drive at Ngorongoro crater, The Ngorongoro Crater and surrounding highlands together form one of Africa’s most beautiful regions. Volcanic craters form stunning backdrops to some of the most fertile and richest grazing grounds in Africa. The most famous such crater is without question Ngorongoro, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and home to the highest density of big game in Africa, including all the big five and plenty of predators. Ngorongoro is justifiably one of the continent’s most famous safari destinations. Then after, you will drive to Simba camping site for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 9: MAASAI BOMA CULTURAL TOUR

Breakfast then you will be picked up and drive to Maasai boma at Ngorongoro conservation area, for cultural tour. You will experience Maasai ways of life, traditional songs, ceremonies stories, arts & crafts as well as wearing Maasai clothes and ornaments. At Maasai boma you may buy some Masai arts ornaments for the memory of your safari in Africa. In the evening you will depart to Twiga camping site for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 10: LAKE EYASI - HADZABE CULTURAL TOUR

Enjoy an early breakfast at Twiga camping site, picked up and drive to Lake Eyasi for another Bushmen safari. You will enjoy meeting with the society that lives and depends on nature like the past societies of early Stone Age. Hadzabe Bushmen depends on hunting and gathering as their main ways of living and surviving their lives. In the evening you will depart to Arusha for dinner and overnight stay, waiting for tomorrow flight back home.
